Everyone should agree with the Dream Act. For those who haven’t heard of the Dream Act, it is a law granting undocumented students access to public and private funding for college. I think everyone should have the chance to study and try to get a good career and go to college. Just because you are undocumented doesn’t mean you cannot become someone important in this world. Going to college is a dream for a lot of people and everyone is equal in this world.

       I think the Dream Act is really helpful for all the students that want to try to succeed and try to help their family out through all the struggles that they have been through. It is a great opportunity for all of the people that are undocumented and have suffered through a lot of things for the reason that they are undocumented. Some illegal immigrants have been here all their life and have gone through elementary school and high school here and it would be very unfair just to not be able to go to college if they have lived here and studied here and then having to stop school. What would be the point of having studied all those years to now out of school have to throw it all away?

       I think Governor Jerry Brown did the right decision by passing the Dream Act. Going to college is a dream that promises intellectual excitement and creative thinking," said Jerry Brown. "The Dream Act benefits us all by giving top students a chance to improve their lives and the lives of all of us." He knows that everyone should have the opportunity to have a career and attend college. It is a good thing that the state of California is helping illegal immigrants out in their studies and it is for a good cause. An estimated 5 percent to 10 percent of the 65,000 illegal immigrants who graduate from high school each year go to college. Their ability to receive a higher education and move into better-paying jobs would help the U.S. economy in the form of increased tax revenue and consumer spending.

       In my opinion, the Dream Act is a really great act that has passed in California. Everyone needs an opportunity and has the right to try and be someone important in this world and live that dream that everyone has which is going to college.
